AppId is over the quota
Arnold Schwarzenegger's Last Stand at the box office was exactly that. The Last Stand was absolutely destroyed in its debut this weekend, opening in 10th place with $6.3 million, which is nothing short than dismal and humbling for the one-time king of the action movies and box office draw. Its debut ranks in-between those of Conan the Destroyer and Raw Deal, making it Arnold's poorest opening in decades.
What this disaster means for the proposed Terminator 5 and The Legend of Conan remains to be seen, but considering their brand awareness it's possible they'll still move forward but with younger, hotter stars also in the mix to bolster Arnold and the films' commercial appeal.
Jessica Chastain, meanwhile, occupied the top two spots at the box office with her new release Mama and her Oscar-nominated holdover Zero Dark Thirty.
